GPR Scanning

Using GPR scanning prior to concrete cutting saves money and avoids risky conditions. It is a customarily used non-destructive method for imaging objects prior to concrete demolition. There has been so much conversation in the construction business on how significant it is to recognize metal targets and electrical lines before cutting into concrete. Every day, there are stories about accidents that occur when contractors don’t correctly mark the site of rebar, post-tension cables, and conduits in concrete structures before they start drilling, cutting, coring, trenching, or digging.

As buildings age, their concrete structures become less secure, and this poses a risk to people who may live or work around such buildings. The concrete demolition structures also allow for old concrete to be recycled, which is good for the environment, creates space, and makes properties more aesthetically pleasant. By imaging the concrete, GPR Scanning provides an estimation of the width of the concrete slab. This is valuable when access to only one side of the concrete slab is achievable.
